2014 has been an exciting year for Reaves Ringers, and I am so thankful to God for another year! Reaves Ringers, LLC was officially formed as a small business entity and now carries licensed Mississippi State University cowbells.
I had the opportunity with ESPN to do a special feature of MSU’s tradition of the cowbell, in hand-painted form. I had an awesome time working with ESPN! Please note that the Dak Prescott design is not for sell, nor has ever been sold. This cowbell was created for the ESPN feature to highlight MSU’s cowbell tradition and ESPN’s College Football Playoff and is not is directly related to Dak Prescott. This cowbell is owned by ESPN.
But, best of all of 2014, I was able to complete many special cowbells for my customers. A few are shown below…
For Cyber Monday (and Tuesday) if you order a Gift Card for the new year you will be entered in a drawing to win a free two-sided cowbell of your choice!(within legal regulations) Fill out the order form today: If you would like to order more than one card your name will be entered with the number of orders. If you have already ordered your gift card, I have added your name to the drawing. Fill out the form, and I will send an invoice.
Happy Halloween from Reaves Ringers! Announcement: I’m very excited to be a part of an ESPN video roll of hand-painting my cowbells this weekend at MSU! Tune into ESPN2 tomorrow night during the MSU vs Arkansas game. And thanks to Stephanie for your awesome pumpkin carving ideas and skills!
Fall Football has been in full swing! This has been an exciting season for MSU football and with that has come many cowbell orders. With our remodeled Davis Wade stadium many bells have been requested for the representation of the new stadium.
I am thankful for the opportunity to paint these bells in my free time for wonderful MSU fans. Thanks for the support!
I am a recent graduate of Mississippi State University in Graphic Design. It has been a whirlwind since my last post between graduation and creating my portfolio at piperfree.com. I am thankful to be able to paint these bells even after graduation. So, just let me know if you would like to get one soon, as I am fortunate enough to work for such a wonderful organization full-time now, Catch-A-Dream Foundation. www.catchadream.org. I have updated many of the cowbells to the pages and have updated the facebook page so check that out as well. Thanks again for the support.
On November 1st the Christmas Handworks Bizarre at FMC Starkville was another blessing. The entry fees and other items sold at the Bizarre go towards funding a house for Habitat for Humanity and it was another great event to be a part of. I sold approximately 50 small ornaments and as many large bells as I had painted.
The first True Maroon Week was great! So thankful my Reaves Ringer won 1st place in the Design competition at Mississippi State University. It was great seeing all of the different bells and hearing the traditions behind them also!
As Christmas is approaching, Reaves Ringers has never been more busy! But, even though this season in life is busy, I am seeking to set my focus on what the celebration is about: The birth of my King and Savior. He is what matters.
Warm & Cozy winter wishes full of joy!
Here’s a little of what’s been going on with Reaves Ringers:
The name should now be Free Ringers as of 6.29.13
Along the line of our mini cowbells, that my talented mom made for our “Wedding Send-off,” I have explored other uses for these little bells. I love working on the “regular” sized cowbells but wanted to see if a painting would work on these miniature cowbells. So, I painted two quick small bells for a gender-reveal party at a MSU tailgate for the wonderful Adams family:
After making these, I thought that these bells would make the perfect size for ornaments!
Approximately 1.75 in. wide
This is a snapshot of my work in progress so far with mini Reaves Ringers. Bully cowbells are $10 and all others are $15 (plus shipping if necessary). Visit the Christmas Ornaments Page for a look at bells I have posted. If you are interested in a particular bell, post a comment underneath the photo. (if it is for a gift that you don’t want posted to the public page, let me know in the comment). Otherwise, I will be at the Handworks Bazaar:
